How do I determine which mobile office is right for my vehicle?

Generally speaking, the VanGo 800 series mobile office is best suited for use in full-sized vans and the VanGo 600 series is designed for small and medium sized vans. The CarGo mobile office can be installed in virtually any 4-door vehicle and the CrewGo fits in full-size pick-up trucks and large SUVs. Besides my mobile office furniture, what do I need to set up an office in my vehicle?

What you need to complete your mobile office will depend on how often you plan to use it and what you plan to do while working in it. If you plan on using computers, you will need an auxiliary battery and power inverter. Cargo vans may require additional HVAC if you will be working for long periods of time in less moderate climates. What type of auxiliary power will I need in my mobile office?

The size and type of power you will need varies greatly based on how you will be using your mobile office. We have infographics that highlight the basics of power inverters and auxiliary batteries. However, since everyone’s electrical requirements are different, we do recommend that you talk with a mobile power specialist for more in-depth questions. Professional installers, also known as upfitters, are a great source for this type of information. What is ergonomic about the mobile office design?

The VanGo desk is equipped with an adjustable shelf for a keyboard or laptop. The chair has the same type of adjustments as a standard office chair including adjustable back height, tilting backrest, sliding seat pan and pneumatic lift. The desk or the overhead hutch can be fitted with an adjustable monitor mount that allows you to position the monitor correctly. This combination of features allows you to achieve an ergonomic neutral posture.

What types of vehicles do you sell mobile offices for?

I need to know the exact measurements of the mobile offices so I can determine which one will work in my vehicle.

What are the mobile office desks made of?

All the mobile office desk frames are manufactured from welded steel and include heavy duty phenolic composite desktops. The VanGo desks have phenolic drawer fronts and thermal foil laminate drawer boxes. The phenolic composite is anti-microbial and temperature tolerant. Can the mobile office be customized?

Yes. There are many ways to create a customized workspace without the costs associated with a custom build. How much does a mobile office cost?

I don’t need an entire mobile office; I just need a chair and a way to secure it.

We have 2 seating solutions for those applications that do not require a full mobile office. The first solution uses the mobile office sliding base as a stand-alone product. The base is bolted directly into the floor for security and safety. The second solution provides a stationary base that is mounted to the floor. Both solutions come with the same ergonomic office chair used with the mobile office.

What is the procedure for purchasing mobile office items?

How do I order accessories for my mobile office?

Gonomix carries a variety of products designed for the mobile office and mobile worker available online. We also sell products such as glare filters and lumbar support cushions that can be used in a mobile office and are also available online.

Can I install my mobile office?

It depends on the type of mobile office you are purchasing.

The CarGo mobile office does not require professional installation since no drilling or altering of the vehicle is needed. The mobile office is secured with the seat belt and front passenger seat. Detailed instructions are provided with the mobile office.

Drilling into the vehicle floor is optional for the CrewGo mobile office. If you plan to drill into the floor, professional installation is recommended. If you use the front passenger seat only to secure the mobile office, no professional installation is needed. Detailed instructions are provided with the mobile office.

Professional installation is recommended for the VanGo mobile offices and the VanGo Seating Solution as drilling into the floor is required. This may cause damage to the vehicle’s electronics, fuel tank, or other mechanical systems that could void your vehicle’s warranty. How do I find someone to install the VanGo or CrewGo mobile office for me?

Often the dealer where you purchased your vehicle will have recommendations. If not, a quick online search for an automobile upfitter in your area should help. If you are having difficulty locating an upfitter, our team may be able to help. You can reach us at 847-566-4949 or info@gonomix.com. Once you have determined who will be installing your mobile office, we will ship it directly to the installer.

Can I use my mobile office while the vehicle is being driven?

No. For safety reasons, using your mobile office while the vehicle is in motion is strictly prohibited.

How do I keep the mobile office chair from moving or spinning around the back of my van?

You don’t need to do anything. Our mobile office has a custom-designed sliding seat base that holds the chair firmly in place. A special cylinder allows the chair to swivel when occupied and remain stationary when not in use.

Does my mobile office come with a warranty?

Yes, every desk comes with a one (1) year warranty against manufacturer’s defects. Please see our Warranty Policy for model specific warranties.

If I have a problem with my desk, how do I get it repaired?

How long will it take for my mobile office to ship?

Stock items typically ship within 5-7 business days after receiving an online order or a purchase order, and payment. For custom orders, large quantity orders, and out-of-stock items please allow 8 to 12 weeks.

Are the mobile offices delivered fully assembled?

Minimal assembly is required for all the mobile offices.

The VanGo desks are shipped fully assembled. The sliding seat base will need to be bolted onto the desk and the chair partially assembled and then inserted into the base. If you purchased a slatwall hutch it will need to be bolted to the desk. All accessories will also need to be installed. For further information, review the VanGo Installation Instruction Tips.

The CarGo and CrewGo mobile offices require minimal assembly as well. The desktop, articulating laptop arm, and desk legs will need to be attached to the desk. For further information, review the CarGo and CrewGo Installation Instruction Guides.

How are the mobile offices shipped?

The VanGo mobile office is packaged on pallets and shipped by truck. The CarGo and CrewGo mobile offices ship using a common carrier like UPS or FedEx.

Can I return an item if the mobile office does not fit my vehicle?

Yes, mobile offices and accessory Items may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Please see our Return Policy for complete information. If you are unsure if a mobile office will fit in your vehicle, please review the product spec sheets and suggested vehicles (located in Product Information and Guides) as a return can become costly for you due to shipping costs.

What payment methods do you accept?

For online orders, we accept credit cards or shop Pay. If ordering directly from Gonomix, we accept ACH, credit card, and checks. An invoice will be mailed to you with the option to enter a credit card or pay via ACH. Orders are processed as soon as payment has been received.
